Manage marketing and communication projects that serve to increase sales to, and retention of, profitable customers or enhance relationships with The Standard’s intermediaries. Apply project management best practices to assigned projects, which may include a wide variety of marketing communications and promotional activities.  Manage cross functional teams and/or vendors in execution of assigned projects.  Develop collaborative working relationships with business unit stakeholders and marketing colleagues. Develop and maintain regular communications with business stakeholders to communicate status and maintain progress.  Manage marketing projects to budget and timeline.

Plan and execute project plans for assigned marketing projects that support overall marketing objectives. Track metrics of success and optimize projects as needed on an ongoing basis.

Deliver project management excellence and cross-functional team leadership for flawless execution of assigned marketing projects. Define scope and objectives, secure commitment of resources, assign and monitor tasks, obtain approval from stakeholders. Provide final approval of project deliverables. Track, assign and manage all project work in the Marketing Department’s project and resource management tool.

Develop plans within assigned projects to align with departmental marketing campaigns including product and service launches, awareness activities and other promotions.


KNOWLEDGE:  Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of moderate scope and complexity. Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents. Explains complex information to others where some interpretation is required.

SUPERVISION: Works independently and receives guidance from manager only in non-routine situations.



  • College degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of project management experience in a marketing related environment.
