Learning & Development Specialist I:

Develop, design, evaluate, and deliver training courses that support the development of employees.  Track results and provide ongoing feedback in order to foster continued employee development, improve education programs and classes and meet department goals.  Participate in organizational development activities in connection with corporate initiatives, organizational review, performance management and workplace improvement to contribute to effective employee development.


This position is primarily based in Hillsboro, Oregon.  


Learning & Development Specialist I:


Conduct training needs analysis in clarifying the learning objectives predominantly for classes and events. Based on pre-defined training objectives and outcomes.


Drive design and development of individual training courses, evaluating and choosing most appropriate delivery method. Project manage the design and development enabling effective learning.


Deliver classroom training with solid classroom management. Ability to adjust content based on audience/participants.


Summarize evaluations. Design and analyze exams, knowledge assessments. Implement a follow up plan based on evaluation results.   



  Learning & Development Specialist I: 


  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Adult Education, Business, ISD, Training or related field preferred; industry expertise in the area of specialization to be trained can be considered requisite education.  

  • Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in a business environment in project management, instructional design, and training evaluation.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theory and instructional delivery options


  • Professional certification required: None
