Assist with underwriting and pricing activities for full service retirement plans business. Job includes a combination of production tasks associated with the pricing of full service business as well as recurring and ad hoc analysis projects.
Respond to pricing/repricing requests from new business sales and existing business. Analyze profitability and propose changes to meet customer needs while maintaining profitable business.
Prepare recurring analyses regarding effectiveness of pricing/repricing activities.
Maintain various tools used to support pricing and repricing analysis both in the field and in the home office.
Provide support for maintenance of new business pricing software used in the field. Maintain internal pricing spreadsheets for use by the underwriting team.
Provide general support and assistance to the full service pricing and underwriting team to meet divisional goals. Participate in projects as requested.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Experience: 4 – 6 years progressively responsible experience in the preparation, interpretation and analysis of financial results, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Firm knowledge of data structure and system design concepts as well as experience with query and analysis tools.
Professional certification required: ASPPA or CEBS helpful but not required.
