The Marketing Department is responsible for managing external communications: i.e. advertising, PR, Thought Leadership, The Standard’s website and other digital properties, trade shows and events, Employer Benefits department sales support, and brand identity.
The Marketing Research team supports the Marketing team and provides insights and research support across business units.
The summer intern will be learning how Marketing Research supports the broader Marketing team as well as other Business Units research/insight needs.
They will be working closely with the Marketing Research Director, but may also work on projects with the Competitive Intelligence Program Manager. Expectations include: an interest in Marketing and Marketing Research. Additionally, an interest in learning all aspects of market research project management (both primary and secondary) including data collection, data analysis and visualization, and communication/presentation of research findings is required.
At the end of the internship the intern will be expected to:
Gain a more in depth understanding for Marketing, Marketing Research, The Standard, and its industry.
Introductory College Level Marketing and Marketing Research course work
The ability to work independently with minimal direction
The ability to work as a part of a team
Written and oral communication (presentation)
Advanced skill levels in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly PowerPoint
Intermediate/Advanced College Level Marketing and Marketing Research course work
An interest in the Financial Services industry
