    As a Senior Collaboration Engineer, you will work with other Engineers and Architects to design, deploy, and support an enterprise class Unified Communications infrastructure.  You will work side by side with Voice and Contact Center engineers leveraging best practices, configuration, implementation and level 3 support of messaging and collaboration platforms - Microsoft Exchange in a hybrid mode with Exchange On-Prem using a DAG and Online, external Archiving, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Proofpoint and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, like InTune.  In addition, Skype for Business On-prem, Online in a hybrid mode and Enterprise Voice as well as integration with Avaya telephony.


    Provide detailed input on cost analyses, system design, testing, and maintenance, and documentation of new and existing collaboration platforms and services. 


    Coordinate with the Infrastructure Architecture team for a 1-5 year roadmap for all Collaboration platforms in use along with forward thinking ideas for new capabilities, simplifying and/or cost savings.

    Work closely with Operational teams to ensure the appropriate documentation, runbooks and knowledge has been transitioned for them to be effective in maintaining the environments from a day to day perspective.  When escalations occur, work with the Operational group to identify, recommend a resolution and if needed assist in the resolution of the issue.  Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer occurs to minimize the need for similar escalations in the future.  Also, provide detailed requirements to the Operational Monitoring team to provide functional proactive and reactive alerting notifications.


    Work closely with other infrastructure areas to enhance the end to end collaboration service offering.


    Familiarity with infrastructure automation processes and tools a plus.



    Education / Training:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience 
    • Strong technical, analytical and communication skills. 

    Must have 5+ years of experience with the following:

    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Office 365 – Exchange Online, OneDrive, Skype for Business Online & Teams
    • Skype for Business 2015 including Enterprise Voice
    • Associated Microsoft Applications
    • Powershell scripting
    • QoS
    • Multi-Datacenter configurations
    • Polycom RealPresence infrastructure


    Broad understanding of the following technologies:

    • Networking
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Windows Server & Client
    • Microsoft Office
    • Cloud Technologies
    • Voice and Video Protocols including SIP, G.711, G.279a, H.323, etc.
    • Managing Apple iOS Devices
