Perform transactional accounting functions to provide for accurate recording and reporting of company financial information. Ensure tasks are performed timely and in compliance with policy and procedures.
Analyze and process accounting and financial transactions on source systems and the general ledger. Maintain other financial reporting records as needed. Review and research out of balance conditions taking corrective action as needed. Maintain internal controls over processes, ensure compliance with internal controls over processes, and ensure compliance with corporate and department policies and procedures.
Provide superior customer service. Coordinate and interact with a broad range of internal & external customers to answer or direct questions in order to facilitate customer needs. Participate in special projects as directed.
Administrative duties related to above including sorting, filing and imaging of source documents. Also includes distributing incoming department reports and mail.
Education: High School diploma required; advanced coursework in Accounting preferred.
Experience: 2 years related work experience with emphasis in account/system reconciliation and/or accounts payable, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Working knowledge of General accounting principles and network applications. Advanced PC skills and knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
Professional certification required: None.
