    Promote and sell CTA sponsored Life and Disability products. This is achieved through building and maintaining effective working relationships with Chapter Presidents, Site Reps, and District Staff. This requires providing education on the need for Life and Disability insurance as well as the value that The Standard’s products provide CTA members. Participate in product development and process improvements to deliver competitive products and services to meet and exceed performance guarantees and customer expectations.


    Design, prepare, and execute sales strategy to manage a large, dynamic territory based in California. This includes identifying prospects, building a pipeline, turning prospects into customers, providing education on the need for Life and Disability insurance as well as the value that The Standard’s products provides CTA members.


    Develop, enhance, and maintain effective working relationships with Chapter Presidents, Site Reps, District Staff, others associated with CTA, and internal partners through conference interaction, professional negotiation, responsive communication and appropriate problem resolution.


    Effectively utilize expertise of peers, CTA management team, and dedicated CTA service teams to attain sales goals and drive customer service.


    Seek out opportunities to mentor others, improve team performance and experience, improve practices, share knowledge and enhance the success of the local, regional, and national sales team.


    Education: Bachelor’s degree, Business/Marketing/Finance preferred


    Experience: 5+ years of business sales experience or combination of relevant education and/or experience.  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ideal candidates will have California educational and union selling experience and experience within the group benefits industry with LTD/STD, and Life product sales experience.


    Professional certification required: Must have a valid driver’s license.


    Significant travel requirements, up to 75% of time.
