    In this role, you will be responsible for understanding GSI and GSI/LTD combination market and market opportunity. Develop, direct and execute the strategic direction for the GSI teams in support of the Company's goals and objectives. Strong knowledge of risk, defined target market and underwriting philosophy. Develop a strong, scalable underwriting and operations team. Drive the profitable growth of the GSI sales programs.


    You will oversee and partner with technical resources to execute business initiatives, taking into consideration interdependence of multiple system and maintenance needs. Influence IT Roadmap prioritization while aligning resources in partnership with IDI IT support team and Model Office. Drive ongoing improvements in process to create efficiencies, increase productivity across teams and enhance the customer experience.


    You will be responsible for managing the work environment, identifying workforce needs and ensuring alignment with corporate manager expectations, values and vision.



    The principal duties and responsibilities will include:



    GSI Product Line: Develop strategy for profitable GSI growth in partnership with IDI business leader. Execute against GSI strategy and implement operational processes to enable the product management, underwriting and new and in-force operations for the GSI product set. Set servicing standards to meet business, product and customer needs.  Set and consistently review underwriting standards to achieve profitability and growth goals. Partner with Sales and Actuarial teams during the product development process.


    Interaction and Influence: Serves as a primary contact and internal consultant to management, distribution partners and external contacts. Communicates alternative risk ideas with appropriate leadership and other departments. Influences decisions and the development of new strategies. Viewed as a key resource to the division and providing leadership in their key areas of responsibility. Develop and maintain productive relationships with cross-division stakeholders while enhancing the ability to interact with the department's technical systems and systems teams. Serve as a liaison for IT, vendors, distribution partners and cross-divisional management to resolve problems, communicate changes, meet customer needs, and implement appropriate process improvements in technology to improve stability, consistency, productivity, and competitive position. Contribute to department and division priorities through participation with other management personnel in projects and planning, either as a lead or in a supporting role. Be a primary business decision maker in the design of systems, rules, organizational structure and process.


    The ideal candidate will possess:

    -Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.  Master’s degree preferred. 

    -Experience: Minimum 10 years progressively responsible and/or diverse experience in underwriting, operations, product management, information technology, and finance and accounting or related fields, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience, including experience in business process control. 

    -ACS, FLMI or CEBS preferred
