Duties: This position is assigned to The Standard’s “Agility” product team. “Agility” is an online alternative to the traditional paper application process, running on the Salesforce platform, for small business insurance products. The Software Engineer has a vital role in a highly collaborative, high-performing team of business system analysts and software developers accountable for delivering iterative changes and enhancements to the Agility system, which is built on the Salesforce platform.
The Software Engineer supports the design, development, deployment, security and maintenance of the Agility system. The Software Engineer applies knowledge and skills in software engineering generally, User Interface design, system integration, security, Salesforce, and innovation to facilitate faster, better and more efficient customer outcomes in an agile environment for the Agility product. Along with the Agility team, this position also works with a large group of stakeholders within The Standard, including customer support, infrastructure engineers, integration, and information security teams.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems; and 5 years of progressive experience in software development, to include the following experience and skills, which may have been gained concurrently:
