Provide leadership for customer onboarding, enrollment communications, and absence management consulting teams. Lead managers of teams that are responsible for delivery across the lifecycle for complex and national account customers (pre-sale, onboarding, in-force management), ensuring a differentiated customer experience.
Responsible for managing the work environment, identifying workforce needs and ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategy, vision, and values. Accountable for organizations operational metrics and performance management of staff.
Apply in-depth knowledge of team functions, The Standard’s capabilities, the group insurance industry, and emerging customer needs to influence marketplace offerings and delivery.
40% - Ensure Absence Consulting, Complex Implementation and Enrollment Communications teams deliver a differentiated customer experience in partnership with key stakeholders while demonstrating the appropriate competencies and our Values. Onboard, develop, coach, manage performance, and retain managers of assigned teams. Foster an engaging work environment that develops employees and management staff to deliver value across customer lifecycle.
40% - Manage, monitor and improve functions to meet evolving customer expectations, market demand and organizational strategy. Work with resources in the Field, Absence Management, Benefits, IT, Customer Service, Legal, Marketing and other areas to problem solve, design solutions and ensure customer value is delivered. Understand the main business drivers of current and potential customers and influence the design of future solutions accordingly.
10% - Develop and manage the business relationship between The Standard and strategic internal and external partners/vendors through as needed on-site visits, professional negotiation, responsive communication, problem resolution and meeting customer expectations. Manage the vendor(s) to the responsibilities outlined in the contract and statement of work. Oversees vendor compliance with contractual service levels, ensuring relevant actions and remediation plans are developed and implemented.
5% - Act as a point of contact to research and respond to questions from Sales, the Field or other home office personnel. Oversee responses to RFP’s we receive from brokers/employers.
5%- Manage group budgets, ensuring expense governance and faster and high quality decisions for investment and divestment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
Experience: Minimum of ten years progressive experience in Group Insurance or financial services industries with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in management positions, demonstrated experience successfully managing an organization, in managing large and complex customer relationships, and in successfully partnering cross organization to achieve business results. Strong background in Standard Insurance Company products and services preferred, or the equivalent combination and/or relevant experience.

Some Travel required.
