    Conducts reviews of administration staff processes, analyzes results, recommends changes, and provide performance feedback.  Facilitates development and implementation of improved business processes to support department and division goals.  Ensures compliance with sound processing practices and company policy.

     

    Has developed specialized skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.  Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.  Provides informal guidance and support to less experienced team members.  Is skilled in a range of processes, procedures and systems to carry out assigned tasks.  Uses knowledge of how the team integrates with others to accomplish the team objectives.

    Responsibilities

    Contributes to the company’s success through excellent customer service and meeting or exceeding performance objectives for the following major job functions:

    • Reviews all levels of processing, analyzes results, provides statistical measurements, recommends new procedure changes to existing procedures and recommends implementation of or modification to service standards; identifies improvement opportunities and training needs for the department and staff levels. Works with department management to develop performance evaluation methods.
    • Monitors workflow and provides performance feedback to department head and supervisors based upon results. Provides technical assistance and input on development and revision of department procedural documentation.  Assists with departmental training processes.
    • Ensures consistent development of processes, procedures, forms, and appropriate communication to all affected areas. Streamlines department processes.
    • Acts as a resource for internal customers, providing assistance with problem resolution related to accurate and legally compliant policy issue, producer and policy administration.  Participates in special projects as team assignments dictate.

    Qualifications

    Education:  Associates Degree in related field.  High school diploma if experience is sufficient.

     

    Experience:  3 or more years demonstrated administration, customer service, or accounting experience in the insurance or other financial institution field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

     

    Other Skills:

    • PC skills (Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Demonstrated ability to express ideas, recommendations, and procedures clearly in written and oral communications
    • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math functions and apply basic accounting principles
    • Ability to learn individual processes, workflow, practices, products, contracts and policy provisions
    • Ability to use written sources of information to design and conduct objective quality assessments to meet department and division goals
    • Ability to apply analytical skills, research methods, and knowledge to make decisions and recommendations
    • Ability to apply technical and/or contractual information to practical situations
    • Ability to communicate sensitive issues and unfavorable decisions to management and individuals
    • Ability to establish acceptable procedures for handling non-routine situations
    • Ability to document accurately and completely
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet changing priorities
