    Evaluate requests, documentation and/or system input to create complete, accurate and legally defensible individual insurance contracts, amendments and contract related documents which accurately reflect the insurance risk and comply with the company’s underwriting and legal requirements and individual state specific requirements.  Collaborate with Account Manager and Case Manager to support business growth, profitability and retention by developing and maintaining effective customer service relationships for assigned accounts.  Communicate effectively with assigned customer accounts to resolve incomplete/non-compliant applications and follow up on outstanding delivery requirements in order to place new business inforce.   Evaluate and complete work requests for policy changes and benefit increases to all in force Guarantee Issue Individual Disability Insurance policies.

    Responsibilities

    Create GSI individual insurance contracts and related documents, based on individual insured eligibility as determined by underwriter that are complete, accurate and legally defensible. Acquire and maintain an in depth knowledge of individual state specific requirements and ensure contract accuracy.  Review application documentation as needed to identify discrepancies, pursue clarification and correction as needed.  Explain the need for and follow-up throughout the process to obtain requested information, documentation and/or regulatory compliant documents to ensure case and policy accuracy at time of issue.  Track and follow up with external MGA’s, Producer’s and directly with employer groups on placement of pending policies using all methods of professional communication and tools available including Salesforce & Docusign.  
     
    Collaborate with Account Manager and Case Manager to support business growth, profitably and retention on assigned block of business.  Effectively manage assigned account relationships in order to meet customer service objectives and maintain turnaround times.  Communicate effectively either written or orally with external customers including MGA’s, producers, and directly with employer’s to resolve application and policy related issues.   
     
    Review individual insurance applications for completeness and compliance with state and corporate requirements and valid producer contracting.  Enter personal and contract information into Salesforce interface and policy administration system verifying plan and policy features.  Determine and enter policy specific codes into system to ensure accurate actuarial data collection as appropriate. Policies must be created, printed, shipped or electronically delivered within specified turnaround time utilizing various computer programs and software including Salesforce and Docusign.
     
    Perform all system service functions related to the life cycle of a policy, including Annual Benefit Increases, Benefit Change Requests, FPO Increases and Reissue from Start requests assuring accurate internal accounting, compensation impact and SOX requirements are followed.  Complete system testing for process and system implementation and improvements. 
     
    Provide 100% quality assurance review on each individual contract to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to policy issue.  Act as subject matter expert to internal customers as relates to compliance and individual state contract requirements. 
     
    Participate in department process or service improvement projects as a subject matter expert.  Contribute ideas to improve own department or partner department process or service standards.  Train peers in organization on process and best practices

    Qualifications

    Education: High school diploma, plus 1 to 2 years secondary education, and/or equivalent experience.  

     

    Experience: Demonstrated ability to produce grammatically correct documents and ability to work with multiple or shifting priorities.  Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and experience managing various file directories.    Working knowledge and experience in Salesforce and Docusign preferred.
