Participate in the development of the strategic direction of the QA team in support of divisional objectives. Participate in the design, development and maintenance of strong quality assurance processes across CFS. Attain subject matter expertise in internal control design and redesign. Participate in the creation of a proactive risk management framework for the department. Help optimize the CFS organization by identifying and driving continuous improvements to departmental processes.
25% Participate in the building and the management of a CFS quality assurance strategy with a proactive approach to risk management across the division. Proactively determine potential operational, financial, and compliance risks that could impede achievement of divisional quality assurance objectives. Work with CFS management teams to form mitigation and resolution plans. Assist with the creation of a structure for ongoing maintenance of quality assurance risk management activities. Partner with operational leaders to lead divisional process changes needed to ensure a sustainable organization.
25% Participate in the internal control design and redesign needs for CFS. In this capacity, participate in the implementation of new controls or compliance requirements, as needed. Participate in the maintenance of the CFS repository for SOX control narratives and SOC1 coordination.
20% Participate in the automation of processes that will drive efficiencies and strengthen existing controls within the CFS accounting and reporting functions.
20% Participate in the completion and analysis of QA audits such as Master Reconciliations, Disbursements, Purchase Orders and changes in Workday.
10% Participate in the management and maintenance of the library of corporate accounting policies, procedures, and positions on key issues. Assist with the review of financial statements, disclosures and board materials. Assist with compliance review of internal and external publications received from the Capital Markets and Corporate Communications teams, and various divisions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, quality assurance, financial and/or insurance auditing, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles. Intermediate knowledge of quality assurance or auditing standards and techniques; understanding of control frameworks and risk analysis models. Intermediate to advanced data analysis skills in either MS Access or MS Excel
