Responsible for the monthly accounting close and consolidation for all subsidiaries of StanCorp, which includes the creation of GAAP financial statements for subsidiary companies and the consolidated StanCorp financial statements. Prepare and assist in developing analysis of financial results and performance information. Prepare and/or interpret complex accounting transactions. Effectively communicate financial information as assigned.
35% Prepare monthly financial analysis of operating/performance results, forecasts, and trends. Compile, analyze, and interpret management reporting. Develop and maintain ad-hoc financial analysis over complex accounting transactions and records. Work on improving existing processes and automate standard processes to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
35% Prepare and/or interpret complex accounting transactions and records. Analyze data in order to initiate/recommend corrective action as needed. Support management and regulatory reporting cycles. Prepare financial statements and conduct audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
15% Develop and maintain effective and responsive communication with assigned division(s) to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical performance factors and accurate financial information.
15% Prepare ad hoc financial analysis demonstrating industry knowledge. Participate on project teams.
