    Manage the personnel and activities to meet the organizations need for the financial accounting, analysis and reporting necessary to enable operating oversight and support informed decision making for the Information Technology (“IT”) division. Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, business units and technical staff. Collaborate with business units to pursue strategic opportunities, understanding of cost drivers and identify areas for efficiencies and expense management opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    Manage and direct a professional staff in all facets of financial accounting and reporting to ensure complete and accurate financial data through effective internal controls and active communication with budget managers and process owners.

     

    Oversee all aspects of the financial operations of the IT division, including management reporting and analysis, capital planning, and financial accounting.  Participate on project teams to analyze total cost of ownership and collaboration on business case analysis.

     

    Develop and maintain performance metrics, scorecards, cost transparency models, activity based costing, billable chargeback models and other tools to aid in the presentations to leadership in IT and business divisions.  Collaborate with business units to pursue strategic opportunities, understanding of cost drivers and identify areas for efficiencies and expense management opportunities.

     

    Lead and/or serve as a finance expert of special projects and corporate initiatives, including benchmarking studies and surveys with external research firms.

    Qualifications

     

    Education:  Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 

     

    Experience:  8 -10 years progressive financial management experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Experience working in Information Technology departments or divisions, hands on experience with PowerBI, activity based costing, and cost allocation models.  Experience developing multi-year expense budgets, tracking actuals, and forecasting. Intermediate skills in SharePoint, ServiceNow, Visio. Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

     

    Knowledge & Skills:  Requires highly developed problem solving and analytical abilities to determine business needs and provide appropriate solutions.  Displayed aptitude for technical and logical processes as well as IT knowledge.  Achieving results through others; express ideas clearly and persuasively in oral, written, and presentation forms.  Broad technical knowledge of infrastructure technologies including network, server, storage, mainframe, middleware leveraging IBM, Microsoft and Linux operating systems.  Understanding of SW/HW acquisition, maintenance, support models – e.g., on-prem, hybrid, cloud.  Strong ability to influence to achieve results.

     

    Professional certification preferred:  CPA, CMA, or MBA
