Participates in activities and systems related to management of cash resources. Participates in or leads projects in all areas of the company related to banking services. Researches and evaluates new and existing banking services and related fees. Has authorization to communicate directly with the company's financial institutions.
Train Treasury Specialist I employees in key treasury functions including 1)deposit and processing of incoming funds, 2)review of external lockbox service and preparation of accounting entries, 3) accurate accounting and reporting of financial data related to unclaimed property for State reporting, 4) disbursement processing including positive pay services. Train Accounting Support staff in all areas of responsibility. Prepare and update training material as required
Perform key treasury functions listed above to back-up assigned staff as needed. Assist Treasury Supervisor in support functions as needed.
Identify opportunities for improvement in treasury operations including processes involving internal and external customers. With instruction, researches, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations to optimize efficiency. Participates in company wide projects as needed to identify and assist in implement approved changes.
Prepare and update task documentation for key treasury functions.
Prepare required monthly reports and reconciliations as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced coursework in Accounting preferred.
Experience: 3 years progressively responsible treasury experience or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Working knowledge of accounting principles.
Professional certification required: N/A.
