Serve as the primary sales contact for key distribution partners, with the goal of increasing sales and profitabilty of the business. Provide sales support to assigned Regional Directors, leveraging techniques and strategies applied with partners to grow business volume.
Serve as the primary sales contact for key relationships and with key distribution partners including National Marketing Organizations, Banks, Broker Dealers and Independent producers. Increase sales volume and growth of partners businesses using consultative selling techniques, and when warranted meeting with key distribution at various industry events or through travel to their offices. The objective is to strengthen relationships with our top tier partners and to encourage additional sales through our second and third tier partners wherever possible. Educate partners on our products and processes, including the best ways to position our products with clients and the best ways to work with us, over the phone, by Webinar or other means. Work with Regional Directors to negotiate and resolve problems when necessary.
Develop, enhance and maintain effective relationships with peer Sales Consultants, Regional Sales Directors, and assigned partner marketing contacts to grow and enhance product sales. Via phone and face to face interactions, respond to sales partners requests though professional negotiation, responsive communication, and problem resolution. Provide support to Regional Sales Directors by responding to sales partners issues as necessary.
Work with Regional Sales Directors, Marketing Analyst and Sales Operations Manager to develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns for assigned accounts.
Participate in product development and process review discussions to improve and develop competitive product offerings based on partner feedback and input. Recommend changes and updates field sales tools to ensure user-friendliness and competitive product sales support. Support the product line by activiely participating in projects as assigned.
Maintain knowledge of annuity product offerings, sales techniques, and trends in the industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Experience: 4-5 years demonstrated experience in a sales or marketing function and/or the equivalent education or experience. Preferred experience in sales support functions involving annuities or financial investment products.
Relationship building, problem solving and consultative selling skills are important.
