Consults with partners across the enterprise in areas including HR, Legal, Finance, Proposals, and others to define and answer critical business questions about The Standard’s workforce. Uses predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis, visualization, and other techniques to identify, collect, integrate, and analyze workforce data from a variety of HR systems. Analyzes both structured and unstructured data and synthesizes findings to create insights. Creates, maintains, and continually improves an interpretive data layer using reporting and analytics in Workday to deliver relevant information to a variety of audiences, including employees, managers, and executives. Advises leaders on creation, definition, and maintenance of effective, objective-based metrics. Must be able to communicate effectively across multiple functions at all levels, with the ability to both collaborate and influence. Must have experience in and possess a strong understanding of analytic techniques, basic survey methodology, HR programs and processes, Talent Management concepts, and analytic techniques specific to workforce and talent data.
Education & Experience: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Typically requires minimum 5 years experience, or the equivalent combination of education/experience.
Experience with appropriate handling of confidential or sensitive data and configuration or programming of complex data systems required. HRIS, Workday reporting or configuration, and human resources experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills: Data analysis, survey methodology and math skills required, knowledge of HR programs and processes and analytic techniques specific to workforce and talent data preferred.
Job Complexity & Judgment: Works on problems of diverse scope, often including sensitive or confidential information. Exercises judgment and discretion. Requires analysis and evaluation of multiple factors to resolve moderately complex issues. Makes recommendations for new processes or procedures.
Independence & Supv required: Typically receives little instruction on daily work. May require general instructions on new assignments. Work and results are often shared with team. Initiative and resourcefulness are required.
Interaction & Influence: Contacts are typically company-wide and sometimes outside the company to provide or obtain information. May consult with management. Networks with internal and external peers. Must be able to effectively collaborate as a team member across functional areas and influence team or leader thinking.
